They had a much better window than us, but we were a much better team.

Can't really argue that. Sullivan said recently that we agreed to sell Tomkins as we are 'well equipped' in the CB dept. Then first game back we have a midfielder playing there as you can only assume Bilic didn't trust Burke or Oxford. Baffling.

The issue isent a player at his stage of his career moving on to get first team football and fair dues to the club for letting him go.
But the issue is who replaces him in the squad? If it is to be Burke then why wasn't he in the team last night

Fucking laughable and petty modding by someone I pressume is 12 years old and takes the role a bit too literally.

Tomkins saw the oppurtunity to get regular first team football, his decision not to stay warming the bench like last season.

Personally I don't think there was a lot to chose between them, but as a defender by profession I'm happy enough to trust Bilic on this one.

We had enough in that match day squad to play decent players in their right positions. All good lessons as long as we win next week and invest.
